Daripada Abu Hurairah r.a, bahawasanya Rasulullah SAW bersabda “Tidak terjadi hari kiamat sehingga Sungai Furat (Sungai Euphrates, Iraq) menjadi surut airnya sehingga kelihatan sebuah gunung dari emas. Banyak orang yang terbunuh kerana merebutnya. Maka terbunuhlah sembilan puluh sembilan daripada seratus orang yang berperang. Dan masing-masing yang terlibat berkata “Mudah-mudahan akulah orang yang selamat itu” Di dalam riwayat lain disebutkan “Sudah dekat suatu masa di mana Sungai Furat akan menjadi surut airnya lalu kelihatan perbendaharaan dari emas, maka siapa sahaja yang hadir di situ janganlah dia mengambil sesuatu pun dari harta tersebut” (HR Bukhari Muslim)

Padahal di dalam hatinya sudah tiada lagi keimanan sekali pun hanya seberat timbangan biji sawi.” (HR Bukhari & Muslim)
Islam Akan Pudar Secara Perlahan-Lahan
Daripada Huzaifah bin al-Yaman r.a. Beliau berkata, Rasulullah SAW bersabda “Islam akan lenyap seperti hilangnya corak pada pakaian, sehingga orang tidak mengerti apakah yang dimaksudkan dengan puasa, apakah yang dimaksudkan dengan solat, apakah yang dimaksudkan dengan nusuk (ibadah), dan apakah yang dimaksudkan dengan sedekah. Al-Quran akan hilang semuanya pada suatu malam sahaja, maka tidak ada yang tertinggal di permukaan bumi ini darinya walaupun hanya satu ayat. Sesungguhnya yang ada hanya beberapa kelompok manusia, di antaranya orang tua, lelaki dan perempuan. Mereka hanya dapat berkata, Kami sempat menemui nenek moyang kami mengucapkan kalimat LAILAHAILLALLAH, lalu kami pun mengucapkannya juga” (HR Ibnu Majah)
Bilakah Akan Terjadi Kehancuran?
Daripada Abu Hurairah r.a. Beliau berkata “Pada suatu hari ketika Nabi SAW sedang berada dalam suatu majlis dan berbicara dengan orang yang hadir, tiba-tiba datang seorang A’rabi (Arab Badwi) lalu dia bertanya kepada Rasulullah SAW “Bilakah akan terjadi hari Kiamat?” Nabi SAW terus saja berbicara. Sebahagian yang hadir berkata “Beliau (Nabi SAW) mendengar apa yang ditanyakan, tetapi pertanyaan itu tidak disenanginya” Sementara yang lain berkata “Sesungguhnya beliau tidak mendengar pertanyaan itu” Sehingga apabila Nabi SAW selesai berbicara, beliau bersabda “Di mana orang yang bertanyakan mengenai hari Kiamat tadi?” Lalu Arab Badwi itu menyahut “Ya! Saya wahai Rasulullah” Maka Nabi SAW bersabda “Apabila amanah telah disia-siakan maka tunggulah hari Kiamat” Arab Badwi itu bertanya pula, “Apa yang dimaksudkan dengan mensia-siakan amanah itu?” Nabi SAW menjawab “Apabila urusan diserahkan kepada yang bukan ahlinya, maka tunggulah kedatangan hari Kiamat” (HR Bukhari)
Kebinasaan Umat Islam
Daripada Ummul Mukminin , Zainab binti Jahsy (isteri Rasulullah SAW), beliau berkata,”(Pada suatu hari) Rasulullah SAW masuk ke dalam rumahnya dengan keadaan cemas sambil bersabda, LAILAHAILLALLAH, celaka (binasa) bagi bangsa Arab dari kejahatan (malapetaka) yang sudah hampir menimpa mereka. Pada hari ini telah terbuka dari dinding Yakjud dan Makjud seperti ini”, dan Baginda menemukan ujung jari dan ujung jari yang sebelahnya (jari telunjuk) yang dengan itu mengisyaratkan seperti bulatan. Saya (Zainab binti Jahsy) lalu bertanya “Ya Rasulullah! Apakah kami akan binasa sedangkan di kalangan kami masih ada orang-orang yang soleh?” Lalu Nabi SAW bersabda “Ya, jikalau kejahatan sudah terlalu banyak” (Riwayat Bukhari & Muslim)
Punca Kebinasaan Seseorang
Dari Abu Hurairah r.a. Beliau berkata, Rasulullah SAW bersabda “Akan datang suatu zaman di mana orang yang beriman tidak akan dapat menyelamatkan imannya, kecuali apabila dia lari membawanya dari puncak bukit ke puncak bukit yang lain, dan dari suatu gua ke gua yang lain. Maka apabila zaman itu telah tiba, segala sumber pendapatan tidak dapat diperoleh kecuali dengan melaksanakan sesuatu yang menyebabkan kemurkaan Allah SWT. Apabila ini telah terjadi, maka kebinasaan seseorang adalah disebabkan memenuhi kehendak isteri dan anak-anaknya. Kalau dia tidak mempunyai isteri dan anak, maka kebinasaannya disebabkan memenuhi kehendak kedua ibu bapanya. Dan jikalau ibu bapanya sudah tidak ada lagi, maka kebinasaannya disebabkan mengikuti kehendak keluarganya atau disebabkan mengikuti kehendak jiran tetangganya” Sahabat bertanya “Wahai Rasulullah SAW, apakah maksud perkataan engkau itu?” Nabi SAW menjawab “Mereka akan menghinanya dengan kesempitan hidupnya. Maka ketika itu sesungguhnya dia telah menceburkan dirinya ke jurang-jurang kebinasaan yang akan menghancurkan dirinya” (HR Baihaqi)
Perselisihan Yang Banyak
Daripada Abi Nijih ‘Irbadh bin Sariyah r.a. Beliau berkata “Telah menasihati kami Rasulullah SAW akan satu nasihat yang menggetarkan hati kami dan menitiskan air kami ketika mendengarnya, lalu kami berkata, Ya Rasulullah! Seolah-olah ini adalah nasihat yang terakhir sekali maka berikanlah pesanan kepada kami” Lalu baginda pun bersabda “Aku berwasiat akan kamu supaya sentiasa bertakwa kepada Allah dan mendengar serta taat (kepada pemimpin) sekali pun yang memimpin kamu itu hanya seorang hamba. Sesungguhnya sesiapa yang panjang umurnya daripada kamu pasti dia akan melihat perselisihan yang banyak. Maka hendaklah kamu berpegang teguh dengan sunnahku dan sunnah para khulafa Ar Rasyidin Al Mahdiyin (Khalifah-khalifah yang mengetahui kebenaran dan mendapat pimpinan ke jalan yang benar) dan gigitlah sunah-sunah itu dengan gigi geraham dan jauhilah perkara-perkara yang baru (bid’ah) yang diada-adakan, kerana sesungguhnya tiap-tiap bid’ah itu adalah sesat” (Riwayat Abu Daud dan Tirmizi)
Golongan Yang Selamat
Daripada ‘Auf bin Malik r.a. Beliau berkata, Rasulullah SAW bersabda “Umat Yahudi telah berpecah-belah menjadi tujuh puluh satu golongan, maka hanya satu golongan sahaja yang masuk syurga dan yang tujuh puluh akan masuk neraka. Umat Nasrani telah berpecah belah menjadi tujuh puluh dua golongan, maka tujuh puluh satu golongan masuk neraka dan hanya satu golongan sahaja yang masuk syurga. Demi Tuhan yang diriku di dalam kekuasaanNya, umatku akan berpecah belah menjadi tujuh puluh tiga golongan, hanya satu golongan sahaja yang masuk syurga dan tujuh puluh dua akan masuk neraka. Sahabat bertanya “Golongan mana yang selamat?” Nabi SAW menjawab “Mereka adalah jemaah” (HR Ibnu Majah)
Orang Asing
Daripada Abu Hurairah r.a. Beliau berkata, Bersabda Rasulullah SAW “Islam mula berkembang dalam keadaan asing. Dan ia akan kembali asing pula. Maka beruntunglah orang-orang yang asing” (HR Muslim)
Kepayahan Orang Yang Beriman
Daripada Anas r.a. Berkata Rasulullah SAW bersabda ”Akan datang pada manusia suatu zaman di mana orang yang berpegang teguh di antara mereka kepada agamanya laksana orang yang memegang bara api. (HR Tarmizi)
Kesusahan Itu Lebih Baik Daripada Kesenangan
Daripada Ali bin Abi Thalib r.a “Bahawasanya kami sedang duduk bersama Rasulullah SAW di dalam masjid. Tiba-tiba datang Mus’ab bin Umair r.a. Dan tidak ada di badannya kecuali hanya selembar selendang yang bertampal dengan kulit. Tatkala Rasulullah SAW melihat kepadanya. Baginda menangis dan menitiskan air mata kerana mengenangkan kemewahan Mus’ab ketika berada di Mekah dahulu (kerana sangat dimanjakan oleh ibunya), dan kerana memandang nasib Mus’ab sekarang (ketika berada di Madinah sebagai seorang Muhajirin yang meninggalkan segala harta benda dan kekayaan di Mekah). Kemudian Nabi Muhammad SAW bersabda
“Bagaimanakah keadaan kamu pada suatu hari nanti, pergi pada waktu pagi dengan satu pakaian, dan pergi pada waktu petang dengan pakaian yang lain pula. Dan apabila diberikan satu hidangan, diletakkan pula satu hidangan yang lain. Dan kamu menutupi (menghiasi) rumah kamu sebagaimana kamu memasang kelambu Kaabah?” Maka jawab sahabat “Wahai Rasulullah, tentunya keadaan kami pada waktu itu lebih baik daripada keadaan kami pada hari ini. Kami akan memberikan perhatian sepenuhnya kepada masalah ibadat sahaja dan tidak bersusah payah lagi untuk mencari rezeki” Lalu Nabi SAW bersabda “Tidak! Keadaan kamu hari ini adalah lebih baik daripada keadaan kamu pada hari itu” (HR Tirmizi)
Golongan Yang Sentiasa Menang
Daripada Mughirah bin Syu’bah r.a. Beliau berkata, Rasulullah SAW bersabda “Sentiasa di kalangan umatku ada golongan yang sentiasa menang (dalam perjuangan mereka), sehingga sampailah pada suatu waktu yang dikehendaki Allah SWT. Mereka senantiasa menang. (HR Bukhari)
